Volunteers

Volunteers help the library in various ways performing routine and/ or project duties. Volunteers stem from a variety of backgrounds:

  • Individuals who need community service hours
  • High schoolers working on senior projects
  • Scouts working on their Boy Scout Eagle Projects
  • Concerned citizens seeking to contribute time, energy or skills.
Volunteer tasks

Volunteers help librarians with:

  • Research
  • Preparing book displays
  • Planning programs
  • Working with children
  • Shelving books
  • Scrapbooking
  • Indexing and filing
  • Working events like the book sale and parades
  • Preparing foods for events
  • Withdrawing items from the collection
  • Organizing the magazines
  • Cleaning the patio
  • Outdoor activities
  • Fundraising
  • Advocacy
